I used to teach classes like that when I first started my career as a personal trainer. It’s what I thought I had to do. Push people to their limit. Burn as many calories as possible. Keep the energy high. No pain, no gain, right? But here's the truth I can’t ignore anymore: Those classes didn’t make people better. They made them burned out, injured, and more discouraged than ever. Here’s what I saw firsthand:
